clinical supervision

for pre-licensed therapists in the state of Minnesota seeking LPC/LPCC licensure.

My approach to supervision is grounded in trauma-informed, relational, and culturally responsive care. Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment theory, psychodynamic principles, mindfulness, and somatic awareness, I support clinicians in developing both their clinical skills and their professional identity. I view supervision as more than a place to discuss interventions and diagnoses—it is a space to cultivate self-awareness, deepen clinical judgment, and explore what it means to show up authentically in therapeutic relationships.

As a Black therapist, I am particularly passionate about supporting clinicians from historically marginalized communities, including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ therapists. I recognize that our identities, lived experiences, and the systems we navigate inevitably shape our work. Rather than treating these realities as separate from clinical practice, I believe they deserve thoughtful exploration as part of the supervisory process.

My goal is to create a supervisory relationship that balances support, challenge, accountability, and compassion. Together, we will explore case conceptualization, ethics, therapeutic relationships, countertransference, cultural humility, and the development of a clinical style that feels both effective and authentic. I strive to create a space where clinicians can bring curiosity, vulnerability, and their full selves to the work of becoming confident, ethical, and sustainable practitioners.

Therapy is deeply human work. Supervision should be, too.
